Hindu Society of Inland Empire (HSIE) formed

1985
Byelaws for HSIE completed

1993
Current Temple Site was purchased

1994

Dr.Shukavak Dasa joins the Mandir as the first priest.
On Krishna Janmastami Day, the Utsav Murtis of Sri Lakshmi Narayan are installed.

1995

Perimeter wall is built and internal improvements are made in January.
The tradition of Sunday Puja and Prasad begins in February.
City of Riverside approves conditional use permit for the Temple in May.
The main altar with parikrama is built.
Murti-stapanam of Sri Lakshmi and Sri Narayan occurs in August.

1996
Sri Durga Devi Murti installed during Durgashtami.
Sri Ganesh murti installed during Ganesh Chaturthi
Jaya, Vijaya and Garuda Murtis installed during Sri Krishna Janmastami
Sri Hanuman Murti installed in November


1997
Opening of the Shiva Mandir is held during Maha Sivaratri in March.
Installations of Sri Shiva, Parvathi, Nandi and a Shiva Lingam occurred during that day.

Building of extensive facades and arches over each of the altars was done during the summer.
Sri Bal Gopal Murti with carved wooden swing installed during Sri Krishna Janmastami.
Sri Saraswati Murti installed during the Saraswati Puja/Graduation Day in June.

A second priest Pandit Seshacharya Samudrala joins the Mandir in September.

1998
A Board of Directors is established and begins meeting quarterly.

1999
Monthly Durga Puja is performed on the first Saturday of the month.
A grand construction inauguration is held in April.
Remodeling and outside construction of the Temple occurs.
A marble donor wall is installed to recognize construction donors.

2000

Seniors Upanishad study group is established in April.
Teens Bhagavad Gita class and “Gita Gossip” newsletter are started.
Annual Youth Summer Camp starts in last week of June.
Sri Lakshmi Narayan Library opened in December.
Sapthas in Hindi and Gujarati are started.
A website for the Temple was created.

2001
$32,762 was raised for Gujarat Earthquake Relief Fund.
Mandir members participate in the candlelight vigil for 9/11 victims.
Balaji Mandir is constructed.
Installation of Sri Venkateswara Murti occurs during November –December.

2002
All the altars at the Mandir were beautified with marble stones.
Padma Peetham and the hand-carved wooden doors for Balaji are installed.

2003
An official Festival Committee is created.
A gift shop is opened.
The beautiful Kalyana Mandapam is added.
Vikki Truver is hired as the Mandir supervisor.

2004
Internal and External beautification of the Mandir continues.
The first Gujarati Friday Puja as a monthly event is started.
The Lalitha Sahasranamam recitation begins as a monthly event.
A shoe rack on the Mandir patio is built by the Boy Scouts.
The first annual Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir calendar/panchang is printed.

2005

Multiple hand-made embroidered curtains are added.
Beautiful hand-carved Shiva Mandir doors are installed during Maha Sivaratri.
The parking lot is resurfaced and restriped.
Fans with lights are installed in the Mandir Patio.
10-year anniversary of the Temple celebrated as a 3-day Mahotsav.
The altars are further beautified with gold tile as trim.

2006
Pandit Vipul Jani joins as the third priest.
The kitchen is remodeled and beautified with granite and tile.
The first youth volunteers recognition progam is held.

2007
An Om fence is installed enclosing the patio.
Navagraha Murtis sthapana occurs during a 3-day weekend event.
Three carved granite signs are placed on the outside Mandir walls.

2008
Professional actors from India perform a Ram Leela play at the Mandir.

2009

Mandir murthis are restored and beautified.

2010
Maha Mruthyunjaya Japa is held every Monday evening
Another monthly Durga Puja is performed on the third Saturday of the month.
